Usher Lights-Up Another Film Role

Young R&B crooner Usher, who will make his film debut in the upcoming Robert Rodriguez and Kevin Williamson-directed movie, "The Faculty," is apparently enjoying his "moonlighting" career as a big screen actor, and has already lined-up another movie gig.

After wrapping up his opening slot on Janet Jackson's U.S. tour in October, Usher will star in the Babyface produced film "Light It Up," a drama about a group of students that take over their high school. "Light It Up" will also star Babyface's wife, Tracey Edmonds.

As we previously reported (see [article id="1435087"]"Usher On 'The Bold And The Beautiful'"[/article]) as a character named "Raymond" -- which is also Usher's surname, un-coincidentally enough.

The Velvet Rope tour, featuring Usher and Janet Jackson, will play the Sports Arena in San Diego on Friday night.
