A 24-year-old concertgoer was stabbed in the chest during a dispute in the mosh pit at the Vans Warped Tour stop in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Saturday.

Police say Lonnie Griffin, 30, attacked and stabbed Jacob Staley in front of the stage at the Mars Music Amphitheatre during a set by punk-rock band NOFX, the Palm Beach Post reported.

Other fans held Griffin until the venue's security and West Palm Beach sheriff's deputies could arrive, the paper reported. Griffin was treated for minor injuries at a hospital before being taken into custody and formally charged with aggravated battery.

Staley was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, where he was in stable condition as of press time.

The stabbing came just before the final week of the Warped Tour, which is scheduled to end Sunday in El Paso, Texas.
