It's a brand new day, which can only mean it's time for another batch of brand new inside information about the Queens of the Stone Age and their über-secretive ways.

First off, the Queens played an unannounced (and therefore thoroughly secret) show in front of about 150 very lucky/ very astonished fans and various celebrities -- including Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd and, um, "Ocean's 12" actor Scott Caan -- at Los Angeles' Viper Room on Tuesday. Frontman Josh Homme had previously played coy about just who would replace departed bassist Nick Oliveri in the live incarnation of QOTSA (see [article id="1496151"]"Queens Of The Stone Age Keep LP, Tour Shrouded In Mystery"[/article]), but according to audience members and the band's spokesperson, on Tuesday he took the stage alongside multi-instrumentalist Troy Van Leeuwen, drummer Joey Castillo and a bassist who went by the name of "Dan Druff" (who's worked as a guitar tech on the last two QOTSA albums and for Sum 41 on Chuck).

The band ripped through a 40-minute set, playing cuts from previous Queens albums, as well as a handful of songs from the upcoming Lullabies to Paralyze LP, including the first single, "Little Sister."

Speaking of "Sister," there's the matter of a video for the song, details of which are slightly less secretive, since a band spokesperson confirmed the clip was co-directed by Homme and Nathan "Karma" Cox in Los Angeles last month (see [article id="1496411"]"Queens Singer Says 'Videos Suck,' Then Gets Behind Camera"[/article]). But aside from who sat in the director's chairs, little was known about the clip -- which debuts Tuesday on MTV2 -- until now.

In the performance-based video, a newly ripped Homme struts and sneers while the rest of the Queens hammer away behind him. They perform on a stage bathed in blue and red lights, while silhouettes of strippers appear behind them and movie screens blast footage of streetwalkers in knee-high boots.

But the secret show and video aren't the only bits of QOTSA news bubbling up to the surface. There's also the just-announced (and thus still pretty secret) "deluxe edition" of Lullabies, which, according to the band's spokesperson, includes a bonus DVD featuring in-studio footage of sessions with album guest stars Billy Gibbons, Brody Dalle and Shirley Manson, plus two short films based on songs from the record and a bonus "therapy session," which stars Homme and comedienne Sarah Silverman.

Lullabies to Paralyze is due March 22.
