"Net Aid" Looks To Lauryn Hill, U2, Sting To End Poverty
While no artists are actually confirmed to perform yet, a group of organizers (including Danny Glover and Harry Belafonte) has announced plans for a benefit concert of "Live Aid proportions" called "Net Aid.
The concert, which takes aim at "extreme poverty," will happen simultaneously on three stages in three countries: London's Wembley Stadium, New Jersey's Giants Stadium, and Switzerland's Opera House.Organizers are reaching out to Lauryn Hill, U2, and Sting, but so far no artists are confirmed for the show.
