Witness the power of DMX.

The rapper will land a third album in the top 50 on the "Billboard" album chart next week, when a Ruff Ryders compilation featuring tracks from DMX (among others) will take the number one spot.

According to sales figures released by Soundscan on Wednesday, "Ruff Ryders: Ryde Or Die Vol. 1" moved more than 283,000 copies in its first week in stores to bump TLC's "Fanmail" to number two. Of course, contributions from Jay-Z, Jermaine Dupri, Big Punisher, the Lox, and the newly retired Mase probably didn't hurt the Ruff Ryders album either.

DMX's "Flesh of my Flesh, Blood of my Blood" is still going strong at number 31 after 19 weeks in stores, while his 1998 album "It's Dark & Hell Is Hot" resides at 44 after 50 weeks on the chart.

The week's other Top Ten debut belongs to the well-manicured kids of "Dawson's Creek," whose soundtrack lands at number seven next week. The album (which features tracks from Sixpence None The Richer, Sophie

B. Hawkins, Shawn Mullins, Paula Cole, and others) sold just under 89,000 copies in its first week in stores.

The week is thick with new arrivals as the top 50 welcomes albums from the Cranberries ("Bury The Hatchet" at 13), Naughty By Nature ("Nineteen Naughty Nine: Nature's Fury" at 22), Eric Benet ("A Day in the Life" at 25), Tom Waits ("Mule Variations" at 30), and Ben Folds Five ("The Unauthorized Biography Of Reinhold Messner" at 35).
