Sylvester Stallone Wants Rambo Dead

Spoilers are an interesting thing. Some filmmakers, such as Christopher Nolan or Ridley Scott, will do anything they can to keep their movies from being spoiled. Other directors, on the other hand, regularly turn out trailers that give away the entire plot in less than two minutes flat.

Figuring out the right balance between generating buzz and ruining the movie with spoilers is a tricky thing.

Unless you're Sylvester Stallone, that is, in which case you couldn't give less of a crap about keeping things secret, as proven by a new interview with Macleans where he reveals that he's hoping to make a new Rambo movie — and if he does, he's definitely going to kill off Rambo. Um, spoiler alert?

Of course, zillions of bad guys have tried and failed to kill off Vietnam vet John Rambo in the first four "Rambo" movies. But Stallone seems like he's serious about getting rid of his all-American cash cow the old fashioned way: By having him battle a bunch of Mexicans.

"I'm dying to do another Rambo. He's in Arizona on the border. It will involve him going into Mexico. I don't think Rambo likes Mexicans," Stallone said. When asked if this meant he planned to kill off Rambo once and for all, he simply responded, "Yeah."

We're not sure exactly what Rambo has against Mexicans, though considering this interview was given to a Canadian magazine, maybe he's just really not a fan of NAFTA. But before you start thinking Stallone doesn't appreciate Latin flavor, he also revealed that he's getting ready to star in a remake of the Spanish thriller "No Rest for the Wicked," where he'll play a bad guy.

"It's hard-core, in the 'Bad Lieutenant' mode," Stallone said. "Badder Lieutenant, we're calling it."

Just look on the bright side: Since it's a remake, at least all the spoilers are already out there. Sorry, Sly.
