Last summer, Katy Perry filmed a cameo for "Get Him to the Greek" and even locked lips with future fiancé Russell Brand. But just because she's about to get married to the British movie star doesn't mean she had enough clout to make it into his film.

"It got cut!" she told MTV News, when talking about her big [article id="1640829"]MTV Movie Awards performance[/article] this Sunday. "I was like, 'I'm sleeping with you, and you're not gonna put me in the movie? That's so messed up!' "

All joking aside, Perry is enough of a show-business professional to understand why she got cut. It might have been too weird for audiences to watch the couple make out, knowing that in real life they, well, make out.

"It seemed too much of a literal movie then, which I totally understand from a director's perspective or from a moviegoer's [perspective]," she said. "If you saw me and Russell making out, although it'd be cute to, 'cause that was the first moment we met, [it would feel like,] 'There's Russell Brand in the movie,' not Aldous Snow, and they want it to be Aldous Snow, [so it's] completely understandable."

Earlier this year, [article id="1629147"]Perry spoke about filming the now-scrapped scene[/article] with Glamour magazine. "When he was filming 'Get Him to the Greek,' I did a cameo with him. My scene called for me to make out with him," she said. "And on the way down the stairs after the scene, I was hopping like a bunny. I hop like a bunny when I'm happy -- I get a bit childlike. [Laughs.] He gives me the Christmas Eve jitters."
