While he's never actually won a Grammy, 2Pac has been nominated six times -- both while he was alive and after his death. And though, barring the unexpected release of new music, he may not ever get one, he's getting honored by the Grammys in a different way: At the Grammy Museum.

“Tupac Shakur was one of the most original and important of all hip-hop artists," Grammy Museum Executive Director Robert Santelli said in a statement, according to the Los Angeles Times. "His writings are both powerful and provocative. It is an honor to be the first music museum to acknowledge Tupac's legacy and to bring context to what was an incredible career.”

The exhibit, “All Eyez on Me: The Writings of Tupac Shakur,” which will run from Feb. 2 through Apr. 22, is set to feature an array of Pac-related material, as provided by his official estate. There will be handwritten lyrics, poems and notes; footage from interviews and performances; and outfits he wore, his 1996 Grammys suit.

“It means a lot to me that Bob Santelli and the Grammy Museum have chosen to honor my son with their upcoming exhibit of his works,” Pac's mother, Afeni Shakur, said in the statement. “Tupac's writings are an honest reflection of his passions for, and about life. His timeless messages have instilled hope for those who have little, and for others, they serve as a catalyst for change. His words continue to motivate and inspire new generations.”

This is the second bit of exciting Pac news we've gotten this week, as the producer of his upcoming biopic also announced filming will start in June.
