They may not have matched the numbers that industry buzz had predicted, but Limp Bizkit will hit the "Billboard" album chart in a big way next week when it seizes the number one spot.

According to sales figures released by SoundScan on Wednesday, the band's eagerly anticipated sophomore effort, "Significant Other," sold more than 634,000 copies in its first week in stores to land at number one. The hard-hitting Florida outfit wrestled the top spot away from the Backstreet Boys, who had held the top of the chart for five weeks. The Boys' "Millennium" slips to number two next week after selling another 273,000 copies.

Many in the music industry had predicted Limp Bizkit would take the top spot, but pundits thought the band's first-week sales figure would be closer to 720,000 copies (see [article id="1425212"]"Will Limp Bizkit Topple Backstreet Boys?"[/article]).

K-Ci & JoJo also nab a lofty debut with their latest effort, "It's Real," which lands at number eight

after selling more than 140,000 copies. Missy Elliott scores a top ten debut as well as her "Da Real World" sold more than 131,000 copies to slip in at number 10.

Other notable debuts next week include the Chemical Brothers at 32 with "Surrender," Donna Summer's "VH1 Presents: Live & More Encore" at 43, George Jones' "Cold Hard Truth" at 53, Rza's "The Rza Hits" at 61, the "South Park" soundtrack at 82, the Marvin Gaye tribute "Marvin Is 60" at 97, the "Big Daddy" soundtrack at 114, Epitaph's latest "Punk-O-Rama" compilation at 136, Twiztid's "Mostasteless" at 149, and the Pretenders' "¡Viva El Amor!" at 158.
