Creed On The Pressure Of Bettering "Prison"

Creed will debut at number one on next Monday's "Billboard" album chart with its second album, "Human Clay," which sold some 315,000 copies in its first week of release.

Can this LP eclipse the band's first album, "My Own Prison," which has been on the "Billboard" chart for over two years now and has sold more than three million copies to date? Here's what singer Scott Stapp had to tell us recently.

[article id="1442187"]"During the writing process and the recording process, we didn't think about that at all,"[/article] Stapp told MTV News. [article id="1442187"]"Especially when 90% of the songs were written probably before we went platinum. So we didn't know how big it was gonna get. But now that we think about it, of course, we're human. We're gonna feel a little bit of pressure. But we're pretty confident that we made a record better than the first." [RealVideo][/article]

Creed will play Syracuse, New York on Friday and Philadelphia

on Saturday, with tourmates Our Lady Peace opening up.
