We’re going to go ahead and call it: Jaden Smith is the world’s best prom date. Or, at the very least, the most interesting one.

Just earlier this month, the 16-year-old flaunted his fearless fashion sense when he attended a prom dressed in a pristine white Batman costume.

Apparently, “Hunger Games” actress Amandla Stenberg (a.k.a. Rue) recognized the sheer stupendousness of Jaden’s prom flair, so she took him as her date to her very own prom on Friday (May 29). Though Jaden opted to hang up his superhero garb for the night, he kept his same penchant for all-around unique style.

For her part, Amandla looks super trendy, sporting long silver braids, a septum piercing, and natural-looking makeup. Her metallic halter dress is equally as stunning, and pairs beautifully next to Jaden’s shift dress (yes, he’s still wearing dresses and he still rocks them, thankyouverymuch).

Though Jaden’s outfit is a bit more understated than what we’re used to, he accessorized it perfectly with snazzy white gloves and sneakers. Oh, and a classic boutonniere to boot because of course, this is prom!

Inside the event, the fashionable duo took a raspberry-hued selfie and Amandla posed “Charlie’s Angels”-style with her fierce friends.

It isn’t totally clear if Jaden and Amandla are dating or are keeping things strictly platonic (she’s a good friend of Jaden’s sister Willow, so she might just be a Smith fam friend). In any case, these two are only 16 and they’re already major style players, so hopefully they keep hanging out and giving us #OOTD inspiration.
