TLC Set For '90s Girl-Group Reunion At Mixtape Festival
The second annual edition of the Mixtape Festival will touch down at Hersheypark Stadium in Hersey, Pennsylvania, on July 26-27 with a star-packed roster that includes New Kids on the Block, the Jonas Brothers and a the long-awaited reunion of TLC.
Among the other acts on the bill at the festival presented by VH1 are Train, the Script, OneRepublic, Hanson, and Run-DMC co-founder Rev Run & DJ Ruckus.
"We are so thrilled to bring back the Mixtape Festival to Hershey," said Live Nation spokesperson Geoff Gordon in a statement. "There's an incredible lineup and tons of interactive and fun activities, all while being set at a world-class amusement park -- it's really a pop music lovers dream."
Among the most anticipated acts on the bill are 1990s hip-pop icons Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozanda "Chili" Thomas. The surviving members of mega-platinum trio TLC began sowing the seeds for their first extensive outing since the death of [article id="1683858"]Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes[/article] more than a decade ago.
At the time, the duo were trying to figure out how they would perform without their energetic third member, who they were planning to project onto a screen while piping in her vocals. The duo played a 2003 radio show, billed as their final concert, in 2003, and have played sporadic dates since.
Other artists on the bill include Gavin Degraw, Serena Ryder, MKTO, Emblem e and a DJ set from Benji Madden.
