Britney Spears Bails On Her New York Restaurant, Nyla

Pricey eatery recently switched from Cajun to Italian food.

First Justin, now Nyla.

Britney Spears has "terminated her relationship" with the New York restaurant she partnered with in March, citing mismanagement and "management's failure to keep her fully apprised," according to a statement released Tuesday.

"I wish the restaurant and its current ownership continued success," Spears said in the statement after noting that she had no involvement in the day-to-day affairs of Nyla and never derived any money or other benefits from the chic eatery at the Dylan Hotel.

Spears said creditors dragged her into their payment disputes and any suggestion that she should be responsible for the debt of the restaurant is without merit.

Last month three vendors filed an involuntary petition of bankruptcy in U.S. Bankruptcy Court against Pinky Enterprises LLC, which runs Nyla, alleging they had not been paid more than $25,000 owed to them.

Spears partnered with celebrity restaurateur Bobby Ochs on Nyla, which is named after the postal abbreviations for New York and Louisiana, Spears' home state (see [article id="1453003"]"Do Fries Come With That Shake? Britney To Open Restaurant"[/article]). Ochs did not return calls on Tuesday.

While the restaurant had served Cajun cuisine since it opened in June (see [article id="1455485"]"Britney Parties With Ja Rule, Dwayne From 'What's Happening!!' At Nyla Opening"[/article]), management recently changed the menu to regional American food with an Italian flair in hopes of increasing business.

With Nyla's troubles behind her, Spears can now focus on recording her next album (see [article id="1458526"]"Britney Spears' Hiatus Is History"[/article]) and expanding her acting career (see [article id="1458731"]"On Dasher, On Dancer, On Prancer, On Britney?
