AFI have canceled the final 10 shows of their tour because singer Davey Havok has been having trouble with his voice and is unable to sing properly.

The difficulty started a week ago. When a new series of vocal warm-ups didn't work, a doctor advised Havok to rest his voice immediately or risk permanent damage to his vocal cords.

"We have never canceled any shows and are deeply disappointed to have to cancel these shows," the band said in a statement. "We truly regret any inconvenience to our fans."

AFI, on tour with Thursday and Coheed and Cambria, were scheduled to remain on the road through March 19 in Denver. The bands' final show together was Thursday in Fort Myers, Florida.

Thursday and Coheed and Cambria will play two more shows together, ending March 15 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Thursday will then play seven shows with Piebald and another 15 with Poison the Well.
