Santana Remains On Top As Jagged Edge Hits Album Chart

Once again, very little changes on next week's "Billboard" album chart, which is good news for Santana.

According to sales figures released by SoundScan on Wednesday, guitar legend Carlos Santana and the band that bears his name will hold on to the number one spot again next week. Santana sold an additional 199,000 copies of his "Supernatural" last week, pushing the album's total sales to 5.3 million as it holds on to number one.

Celine Dion will again take the runner-up spot, as the Canadian singer's "All The Way: A Decade Of Song" sold an additional 160,000 copies to remain at number two. Creeping up to third (powered no doubt by the hit single "Forgot About Dre" with Eminem) is Dr. Dre, whose "Dr. Dre 2001" saw his one-week sales jump from 109,000 to 143,000.

The week's only top ten debut comes courtesy of Jagged Edge, whose "J.E. Heartbreak" (with the hit "He Can't Love U") landed at number eight after one week in stores. Other notable debuts include Enigma's

"Screen Behind The Mirror" at 33 and the Madd Rapper's "Tell 'Em Why You Madd" at 76. The Eurythmics also enjoy a bit of a bump after the group's performance on the American Music Awards, with the album "Peace" re-entering the chart at 138.

Overall, sales seemed to bounce out of the post-holiday rut they had been in for several weeks, as six of the top ten albums posted significant sales boosts over the previous week.
