YOUR FAVORITE MTV SHOWS ARE ON PARAMOUNT+

Greyson Chance, The Viral 'Paparazzi' Singer, Is Now All Grown Up

His voice sounds even more powerful after it dropped.

If the name Greyson Chance doesn't instantly ring a bell for you, perhaps this might jog your memory. On April 28, 2010, a video was uploaded to YouTube of a boy playing the piano and singing Lady Gaga's song "Paparazzi" at a sixth grade chorus performance/talent show. Since then, it's been viewed over 55 MILLION times. His soulful, compelling voice is a sound like no other.

The video quickly went viral, and Ellen DeGeneres asked Chance to be a guest on her show. He was 12-years-old, by the way. What were you doing at 12? Shortly after, DeGeneres announced she was starting a new record label, ElevenEleven, and Chance would be her first signing.

Fast-forward five years later, and he made his own album, performed on tours and won various awards. Oh, and his has 2.51 million followers on Twitter. Basically, he's a superstar.

Years ago, MTV sat down with Chance and got some exclusive interviews, including this one:

Awww, what a cute kid, right?! Except now, he's not that little boy anymore. Chance is now an 18-year-old adult. He stopped by Ellen's show earlier this week, and it's safe to say our jaws dropped.

Probably the biggest change we noticed was that his voice, um, dropped a ton of tones. "I woke up one morning and was instantly not Greyson Chance anymore, I was [lowers voice] Greyson Chance," he jokingly told Ellen.

After the interview, Chance performed his new single "Afterlife," which is now available on iTunes and Spotify.

His song has a coveted five-star rating on iTunes, and it's well-deserved.

On Thursday, Chance shared this pic on Instagram with a sweet caption dedicated to his friend Ellen.

"So thankful for @theellenshow

Not only did she give me my start in music, but she still believes in me today! Felt amazing to perform 'Afterlife' on the stage where it all started."

Obviously, he didn't grow to 6'1" overnight, but we're still just taken aback by his amazing transformation from kid to adult.

Also, if he and Sam Smith could collaborate together, that'd be great. Please and thank you.

Congrats on all your success thus far, Greyson! "Afterlife" will definitely be stuck in our heads for days now.
