The 21 Most Galactically Awesome 'Star Wars' Cosplays Ever
This week at San Diego Comic-Con, we've already seen a LOT of amazing cosplayers. But nobody goes all out more than "Star Wars" fans, who've been dressing up like their favorite characters since before the term "cosplay" was even invented! (which was in 1984 at the Los Angeles Worldcon, according to most accounts)
Here are some of our favorite cosplays from past conventions, way before we got our first glimpse of the awesome costumes from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." Spoiler alert! -- they're pretty amazing.
The entire 501st Legion
Can't start a best cosplay list without mentioning the biggest community of "Star Wars" costume creators, the 501st Legion. While some fans like to switch things up with their costumes, these amazing people focus heavily on accuracy when they create their outfits. You even need approval to become a member -- and you'd better be into charity work, because these fine fans are the best at it.
Sabine Wren
Kittie Cosplay's look impressed us -- let's just hope she has an easy time updating it for Season 2 of "Star Wars Rebels!"
Sexy Chewbacca
Yup, still great.
Dapper Fett
Mandalorians like to get dressed up too, you know.
C-3PO and R2D2
Are we sure someone didn't just lose a pair of droids at Megacon that year?
'Star Wars' Pin-Up Girls
These ladies rocked the house at Star Wars Celebration this year.
Han Solo in Carbonite
Turning corners must be tough.
Slave Leia Sunathing Session
One of the best photoshoots ever. Thanks, Ethan Trewhitt!
Daft Punk Empire
Queen Amidala
Say what you want about the prequels, but boy did Padmé know how to dress.
Snow White Boba Fett
Cosplayer Amber Arden can hunt down bounties with the best of 'em.
The Modal Nodes!
Remember the band that played at the Cantina at Mos Eisley? These cosplayers do.
Asajj Ventress
Lianne Paine's got the Sith look nailed.
Han "Solo"
Get it? Yeaaah, you get it.
Darth Revan
By @TheRealCyberElf, who I choose to believe looks exactly like my first "Knights Of The Old Republic" playthrough character under there because it makes me happy.
This amazing OTP couple
Oh man, relationship goals.
Playboy "Star Wars"
Isn't putting bunny ears on a Twi'lek sort of overkill?
Cyborg Darth Maul
Trust me, you need to watch these cybernetic legs in action.
Bearded Leia
Dear Julz O'Gallegostein, you are the best person and you deserve to be in every future "Star Wars" movie.
George Lucas Cosplay
Poor guy just can't catch a break.
