Ben Stiller To Host Video Music Awards Featuring Backstreet Boys, Beasties, Brandy And Monica

Ben Stiller, who is currently drawing rave reviews for his sliced n' diced role in "There's Something About Mary," has been tapped to host this year's MTV Video Music Awards being held on Thursday, September 10.

The Video Music Awards show has also just lined-up feature performances from the Backstreet Boys, and Brandy and Monica dueting on their Number One hit, "The Boy Is Mine."

As we previously reported (see [article id="1427877"]"Madonna, Garbage, Will Smith Top Video Music Award Nominees; Hole, Master P, Dave Matthews To Perform"[/article]), other artists who have already agreed to appear at this year's Awards show being held in Los Angeles include Madonna, Hole, Master P, the Dave Matthews Band and the irrepressible Beastie Boys.

Catch all the sizzlin', star-packed VMA action direct from Miami on August 28. MTV News' preshow kicks things off at 6:30 p.m. ET/PT, followed by big show at 8 p.m.
