Jamie Foxx Reveals Secrets Behind His 'Amazing Spider-Man 2' Performance

Much has been made of Jamie Foxx's new look as Electro in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2." The Oscar winner appeared on "The Tonight Show" last night to talk all about it, focusing primarily on his nerdy makeover as Max Dillon.

"My sister is my hair stylist and she created the 'Django' look, the Ray Charles look," Foxx explained. "I told her that when I'm the nerd guy, I want to be the first black man with a comb-over. I told her, 'Make me look like I would look if I never made it.' So that's me. I have a Jheri curl, and things aren't going right up on here."

Foxx also spoke about the light-blue skin he sports as Electro, and even went so far as to show off his Electro voice. He growled out the words, "A world without mercy, a world without power," giving fans their first taste of how he'll sound when the "Spider-Man" sequel swings into action.

All in all, it sounds like Foxx is very impressed with the scale and scope of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," not to mention the cast.

"It's really dynamic. Andrew Garfield is great. He's very good. Emma is fantastic," he said. "And look out for Dane DeHaan. Look out for that dude. He's amazing."
