Lil Snupe Was Tapped By Rick Ross For 'Self Made 3' Before Death

Meek Mill revealed that Rozay wanted him on the August 6 LP and mourns the death of Philadelphia rapper Jimmie Wallstreet.

[article id="1705043"]Lil Snupe[/article] was full of promise. His rap skills were so sharp that Meek Mill signed him to his Dream Chasers record label within an hour of hearing his demo tape, and before his [article id="1709362"]death[/article] it seems Rick Ross also had an eye on the youngster and wanted him to contribute to Maybach Music's upcoming [article id="1708393"]Self Made, Vol.3[/article] compilation.

While Snupe was not signed to Ross' MMG, the Boss thought enough of him to extend an opportunity. It is unclear whether or not Snupe will appear on the August 6 LP.

Meek revealed the news on Thursday night when he took a screen shot of a text conversation between him and Snupe and posted it to Instagram. "Rozay want you 2 send a heater 4 self made 3 ..... Some fire..... No sample.... This can b ya first time on a big album," Meek texted to Snupe on June 9, relaying Ross' bossed up message. "He said single type sh--..... Here's ya shot."

The screen grab captured Meek and Snupe's June 8 text conversation as well, where the youngster was thanking Mill for giving him a shot at rap stardom. "On Some Real Sh-- Bruh Thank You 4 Just Giving Me The opportunity 2 Do My Thang," he wrote. "You Really Changed A N---a Life Mane."

On Thursday morning Louisiana's Winnfield City Police Department responded to calls of a shooting at the Maplewood Apartments at approximately 4 a.m. When they arrived, they found Snupe (born Addarren Ross) with two shots to the torso area; coroners pronounced him dead at the scene. He was 18.

In a strange twist of events, another of Meek's friends and up-and-coming rappers Jimme Wallstreet was also murdered on Thursday, shortly after he posted a rest in peace message for Lil Snupe on Instagram. Wallstreet was signed to noted hip-hop producer Don Cannon and once collaborated with famed Philly MC Beanie Sigel. "Then my n---a from Philly @jimmiewallstreet last post was R.I.P. #lilsnupe and he got killed already #ripwallstreet," Meek wrote on Instagram.

"This is just sad man, God is with them both," responded jazzysbaybii.

"Lil snupe he the hottest, can't believe that this happened. #riplilsnupe @lilsnupe," johnxsuave added.
