Hip-hop pop group Cibo Matto will be joined by several special
guests during their four-night run at New York's Bowery Ballroom, which
begins Tuesday (June 8). The first night's show will feature turntablist
Rob Swift of the X-Ecutioners and jazz drummer Susie
Ibarra. Wednesday night's openers will include new Cibo Matto bassist
and solo artist Sean Lennon and hip-hop group the Arsonists.
Thursday's show will be opened by Sonic Youth guitarist Thurston
Moore, turntablist DJ Spooky and performance artist/singer
Yoko Ono. The final performance's openers are Dusty Trails,
a new group fronted by ex-Luscious Jackson keyboardist Vivian
Trimble and ex-Breeders bassist Josephine Wiggs, as
well as the Brazilian dance and percussion group Beat the Donkey.
