19 Hip-Hop Songs That Are Impossible For You To Rap Word For Word
Who doesn't love rapping along to their favorite hip-hop songs? Here at MTV News, it's one of our favorite things to do. For the most part, we're pretty spot on, hitting each word with the precision of Eminem. Still, there are those rare exceptions when we're just at a loss.
Yeah, sometimes it's just impossible to keep up to Tech N9ne's machine gun flow, or Young Thug's yips and yelps. We can admit when we're beat, so here are 19 songs that are impossible for us to rap word for word without the help of Genius.
"Rap God" - Eminem
No one except Marshall Bruce Mathers knows the words to this one.
"Lifestyle" - Rich Gang
We have Rich Homie Quan's part down pat, but still don't know what the hell Young Thug is saying.
"Danny Glover" - Young Thug
Nah, for real, it's really hard to recite Thugger's lyrics.
"Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)" - Rich Homie Quan
Ummm, we really don't know all the words to this one either.
"The Originators" - Jaz-O feat. Jay Z
Before Jay dropped his 1996 classic Reasonable Doubt, he was rapping lots and lots of words with his mentor Jaz-O.
"Notorious Thugs" - The Notorious B.I.G. feat. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony
We know Biggie's verse by heart, but when Bizzy Bone starts rapping we're all like, "Huh?!"
"Speedom (WWC2)" - Tech N9ne feat. Eminem and Krizz Kaliko
Can you guys slow down? We're having a hard time keeping up.
"Worldwide Choppers" - Tech N9ne feat. Busta Rhymes, Yelawolf, Twisted Insane, Ceza, JL, Twista, U$O & D-Loc
Then of course there was Tech's original "Worldwide Choppers."
"Collard Greens" - Schoolboy Q feat. Kendrick Lamar
It was all good until Kendrick went all español on us.
"Mr. Tung Twista" - Twista
They didn't call him Tung Twista for nothing.
"True Fuschnick" - Fu-Schnickens
Over 20 years later and we still have no idea what Chip-Fu was saying.
"Can You Keep Up?" - Busta Rhymes feat. Twista
No Busta, we cannot keep up. It's impossible.
"Don't Say Nuthin'" - The Roots
Usually the Roots' Black Thought has a whole lot to say, but on this concept track Thought mumbles into the mic on purpose.
"Crispy (192)" - Tonedeff
Tonedeff claims to give us 14 syllables per second on this one. That's about 12 syllables too much.
"Oye Mi Canto" - N.O.R.E. feat. Nina Sky, Daddy Yankee, Gem Star and Big Mato
Unless you're bilingual, chances are about half of this song is impossible for you to recite, but damn it's catchy.
"Rap Game" - D12 feat. 50 Cent
Remember when Em flipped the Pig Latin? Yeah, good luck reciting it.
"Blow Your Mind" - Redman
So apparently Redman knows how to rap in Korean, but we're pretty sure you don't.
"F--k Up Some Commas" - Future
About halfway through this song Future gets straight indecipherable.
"Gibberish" - Ryan Leslie
OK, this isn't a rap song (though Ryan does rap sometimes), but it's genius and impossible to follow.
