If you think all the way back to last year, you may remember that Shailene Woodley was one of the many actresses vying for the role of Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games." But don’t feel too bad she didn’t get the part--she was nominated for a slew of awards this year for her role in "The Descendents" and even won an Indie Spirit Award!

Shailene stopped by MTV News on Monday to chat about the upcoming season of "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," and told us that she has no hard feelings about not landing the dystopian role--which we believe since she was attended "The Hunger Games" premiere.

“Yeah, I definitely auditioned. It wasn’t, like, a great audition," Shailene said. "But I think that Jennifer Lawrence is perfect for that role. She’s so strong as a woman and one thing that I really love from her is that I love it when women live from their groin, just to say they own their woman power and she totally does. I would straight up be intimidated by her if I met her just because she’s so set in her body, and she’s so confident with her heart, not even necessarily the way she looks or all the materialistic stuff. She’s just a very strong woman. Kind of in the same way like Angelina Jolie just seems like a strong woman you wouldn’t want to mess with her, at least I wouldn’t. I feel like Jennifer Lawrence is the same."

Seems like Shailene may have a little girl crush on Jennifer, and we don’t blame her!

So who was Shailene’s lucky date for the big premiere? "My little brother told me when he found out they were making a movie that if I didn’t bring him to the premiere I would lose a lot of big sister points," Shailene said.
