'Avengers: Age Of Ultron' And Iron Man: New Movie, Same Tony

Tony Stark is a man without a suit of armor, based on the ending of "Iron Man 3." But getting geared up for another "Avengers" sequel won't be a problem for ol' Shellhead, according to Marvel Studios' co-president Louis D'Esposito.

"It's hard for me to say what he's doing [in 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'], what his emotional mindset is, but you can see where it was where we left it at the end of 'Iron Man 3,'" D'Esposito teased during an interview with IGN. "He's in love with Pepper, he's made a grand gesture to blow up the suits at that point — but in the end, he couldn't help himself. He'll go back to tinkering. That's what he does."

D'Esposito clarified that the "Age of Ultron" screenplay remains in development — "Joss Whedon is writing furiously to get that finished" — but he added that fans can expect to see Iron Man "leading the team with Captain America," and to even anticipate a connection between Stark and Ultron.

"We're big on connectivity," he said, referring to theories that connect Jarvis with Ultron, among other wild speculation. "You can see it in all of our films. It's one big Marvel Cinematic Universe and so you can expect some connectivity."
