If You Wrote For Nicki Minaj And Beyonce, Could You Be As Humble As SZA?

SZA gave Nicki and Bey that TDE touch.

SZA has already proven herself to be a prolific songwriter with her own work, and now the "Babylon" singer is lending her pen to some of the biggest names in music. Earlier this month, it was revealed that SZA helped to write "Feeling Myself," the latest Nicki Minaj and Beyoncé collaboration.

"Yeah, I wrote parts of that. A nice chunk of that," SZA confirmed with SwaysUniverse.com writer Taylor Lovaas in an online interview published on Monday. "I’m on the credits, so I think it’s really interesting. It was dope meeting Beyoncé, she’s tight, she’s perfect actually."

The self-love ode was produced by Hit-Boy, but when it comes to the details on how the track actually came together, SZA has a hard time explaining. "Literally, like, on God, it was something I could never explain to anyone," she said. "The call just got put in and then I arrived, I have no idea. Hit-Boy produced and I wrote the lyrics, so Nicki and Beyoncé are singing some of the things that I wrote to it."

SZA also confirms that her A project is on the way. "It’s getting there, it’s really getting there. I’m just in a completely different place than I was and my show is completely different than it was," she said. " I’ve learned a lot and I’m more vulnerable than I once was before."
