'NSYNC On Top Again As Aaliyah, Drag-On Hit Chart

It looks like it'll be a long ride for 'NSYNC atop the "Billboard" album chart.

According to sales figures released by SoundScan on Wednesday, the boy band behemoths followed up their record-shattering first-week sales for "No Strings Attached" by selling another 811,000 copies last week to remain at number one. Added to the group's first-week total of 2.4 million copies sold, the Orlando export has now moved more than 3.2 million copies of the album in just two weeks.

While the group is no doubt benefiting from an ever-growing fan base, it also appears to be benefiting from the very rabid nature of that fan base. According to a recent MTV News Online poll, of those who bought the album, more than one-third (36 percent to be precise) say they bought more than one copy. In an even more surprising stat, 18 percent say that they went all out and bought four or more copies of the CD.

Many who bought multiple copies of 'NSYNC's latest were picking up copies for friends

or for different locations (so as to never be without the sounds of the group), but many others noted that they grabbed multiple copies of the CD specifically to help 'NSYNC outsell fellow Floridian boy band the Backstreet Boys. (Several Backstreet fans contend that this is "cheating," sparking a debate that you can check out in our "You Tell Us" area.)

'NSYNC faces little in the way of real competition for the top slot on next week's album chart as Santana's "Supernatural" comes in at a distant number two after selling another 212,000 copies.

The week's highest debut comes courtesy of the Aaliyah-driven soundtrack to the singer's big-screen action flick "Romeo Must Die." The disc arrives at number three after selling more than 203,000 copies in its first week in stores. Ruff Ryders rapper Drag-On also scores a top five debut with his "Opposite Of H2O," which moved more than 150,000 copies in its first week out to debut at number five.

Other notable debuts include Common's

"Like Water For Chocolate" at 16, Trisha Yearwood's "Real Live Woman" at 27, the soundtrack to "The Crow: Salvation" at 104, Goldfinger's "Stomping Ground" at 109, the soundtrack to "Black And White" at 124, and Fatboy Slim's "On the Floor At The Boutique" at 173.
