Nick Jonas and the Administration will rock your television Wednesday night when they play the [article id="1626520"]Grammy Nominations Concert Live[/article] special, but come January they're taking their act on the road. The band, which is Nick's side project without his superstar brothers, will kick off their tour in his hometown of Dallas on January 2 and wrap it up January 30 in Berkeley, California, just a few days before releasing their debut album, Who I Am, on February 2. Nick and his bandmates (bassist John Fields, drummer Michael Bland, keyboardist Tommy Barbarella and guitarist David Ryan Harris) will be joined by Diane Birch as their opening act.

According to the band's MySpace blog, while on tour they will play original songs, covers and a Jonas Brothers track or two. "With this tour we're going to try to accomplish the same thing we did in the studio," Nick said in a statement on the site. "That's capturing some heart and soul in the music, and having fun doing it."

Nick announced his tour via Twitter on Monday. "I am so excited to share this announcement I decided to tell you now! The Administration & I are going on tour in January!" he wrote. "I am so excited! Are you coming?! Make sure to tell your friends. ... Maybe there's even a trending topic waiting to happen. ... I just have to say thanks to my brothers for being as supportive as they've been."
