Sara Bareilles' Whimsical 'Winter Song' Video Featuring Ingrid Michaelson Is The Only Thing You Need To Keep Warm Today

Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson's "Winter Song" video.

Snow day! Let's watch Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson's timeless "Winter Song" video.

A winter storm kinda has a way of turning even the most serious adult into a kid again. All you need is a weather report saying that a storm's on its way, and suddenly everyone's blowing off work to build snowmen and talk about going sledding in the park but not actually doing it because, you know, Netflix.

But how long can winter paradise last, really? By February, delightful winter scenes have basically turned to slush, and we're desperate for a much-needed reminder that spring is on its way.

Enter: Sara Bareilles' classic 2008 "Winter Song" video featuring Ingrid Michaelson, which chronicles the short, gray days of winter, and, on this sub-zero temps day, reminds us that spring always comes 'round again.

A timeless cold-weather clip created by Crush Design UK’s John McCulloch and Helen Crawford-White, "Winter Song" is a delightful (yet, appropriately chilling) animated tale of winter activity, childhood friendship, and maybe even mild seasonal affect disorder. As the snow falls, Ingrid and Sara (or at least their cartoon depictions) wander out of their log cabin for a long day of frolicking and riding a leaf through the woods (yes, really). The ladies top off their day with a hot meal at home, then snuggle up in bed (which is exactly what we're going to do as soon as we finish writing this post).

Despite how it may feel sometimes, however, winter can’t last forever. Before Ingrid and Sara know it, the snow's melted and the trees are in bloom! GOD BLESS US, EVERY ONE! Oh, is it too late to say that? Whatever, you're not the boss of me. Where's my sled??
