Anne Hathaway Says Her Catwoman Costume Was 'A Psychological Terrorist'

It's not just Batman who has trouble living in his suit. Days after Christian Bale bemoaned the breathing problems that come with wearing the Caped Crusader's cowl comes new grievances from one of the "Dark Knight Rises'" other costumed characters — this time Anne Hathaway, the Oscar nominee bringing Selina Kyle to life.

Speaking with Allure, Hathaway described the Catwoman suit as nothing short of "a psychological terrorist," strong words usually reserved for a villain of Bane's caliber.

"The suit, thoughts of my suit, changing my life so I would fit into that suit," she said. "It dominated my year."

Hathaway elaborated a bit on the "crazy weight stuff" she had to put herself through not just for her role in Christopher Nolan's third and final Batman movie, but also her pivotal supporting part as impoverished factory worker Fantine in "Les Miserables." (Check out her singing chops in the movie's first trailer over here.)

"I'm on day six of detox ... this diet makes me break out, so I love that," she joked. "Nothing like living on hummus and radishes and then be all, 'And I got a pimple. Yeah!'"

You can see Hathaway in all of her pimpley glory in "The Dark Knight Rises" when it hits theaters everywhere on July 20, 2012.
