Metallica Sell A 'Load' Of Albums During First Week
Heavy metal indeed.
Metallica's latest album, Load debuted in the #1
position on the "Billboard 200" album chart this week. The album sold 680,000
copies during its first week in the stores, a figure that makes it one of the
biggest selling debuts in history. In fact, only seven other albums have sold
more copies during the first week of their release. The biggest seller to date
remains Pearl Jam's Vitalogy, which sold 950,000 copies. Other big
sellers: The Beatles Anthology i and Snoop Doggy Dogg's
Doggystyle.
