Ariana Grande may have taken the pop music world by storm with "The Way," but she's just getting warmed up.

On Tuesday (September 3) Grande's debut album, "Yours Truly" hit stores and in addition to big like Mac Miller, Big Sean, The Wanted's Nathan Sykes and Mika, the 13-track debut showcases her impressive vocal range mixed with a '90s R&B throwback vibe.

Grande, who performed during the 2013 Video Music Awards pre-show, recently sat down with MTV News during "Live From MTV" and revealed that she's not only excited for her Arianators to listen to the music, but to get to know Ariana, not Cat, the character she portrayed on Nickelodeon's "Victorious" and the current spin-off "Sam & Cat."

"People got to know me first as an actress, but my mom said I'm a singer who acts on the side, but now they are gonna get to know Ariana the little brunette girl from Boca [Raton, Florida] who loves music more than anything," Grande said. "And that's very exciting to me and it's very relatable. A lot about boys a lot about love, a lot about romance. I'm a hopeless romantic."

Grande co-wrote several songs on the album and teamed up with hitmaker Babyface and "Victorious" co-star Leon Thomas to help the singer paint a picture of what she has experienced over the three years it took to create the record.

"I feel like some of the most important years of my life have been captured in this album and some of my most important experiences like relationship-wise," Grande said. "So many things I've learned I'll remember when I listen back to these songs. It's just such a special thing for me. I can't wait for my fans to hear it."

And there is one song in particular on the album, "Honeymoon Avenue," that is so emotional and personal to her, that she sometimes has a hard time singing live.

"I almost cried last night when I was singing it onstage, 'cause it's about something that's so special to me when I hear it. It strikes a personal chord," Grande said. "'Honeymoon Avenue' is about knowing you are at the end of a relationship and wishing it could not be the end and go back to the beginning and start over."
