Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Have A Surprising 'Star Wars' Connection

KimYe fell in love with the Force.

It's no secret that "Star Wars" has united an entire galaxy of super-faithful fans, but did you know that the series is also partially responsible for the creation of KimYe? Yep, seriously.

On Friday (Dec. 18), Kim Kardashian shared the backstory of how she and Kanye West first connected back in 2008, and suffice to say, Princess Leia's gold bikini strikes back just as fiercely as the Empire.

Kim explained on her website that when she and Kanye worked together on a Comedy Central pilot called "Alligator Boots," she dressed up as the Rebel Alliance heroine while 'Ye donned a Stormtrooper suit. And, well, sparks started flying.

"We had met before this project (back in 2003), but I would say this is when we first really connected," she wrote.

Kim also posted another shot on Instagram of her and her future hubby from that fateful day, writing, "If I knew then what I know now ? #fbf #2008."

For those who aren't familiar with "Alligator Boots" -- a would-be sketch series that the network ultimately passed on -- this behind-the-scenes video from the pilot shoot should give you an idea of what exactly went down.

Clearly, the sultry vocal stylings (and, let's face it, the total brashness) of Beary White were just too much for these two to resist.
