Americans everywhere are celebrating today's (June 26) historic ruling in favor of marriage equality. Yes!

Today at New York's Stonewall Inn, there were hugs, kisses, dancing, and tears -- of joy, of course!

The Greenwich Village bar -- which was granted landmark status just this week -- was the site of the 1969 Stonewall Riots, a police raid believed to have sparked the modern gay rights movement. Today, though, there were positive vibes only as some major celebrations broke out -- and MTV News was there to capture it all!
