"Dark Knight" Gives Credit Where It's Due

Knowing how Christopher Nolan's previous Batman movies have played out, chances are slim that "The Dark Knight Rises" will feature any kind of elaborate opening credit sequence. (For all Nolan's strengths, David Fincher he is not.) But if he did decide to create a title sequence, he could do far worse than to utilize Do?an Can Gündo?du's "Dark Knight Rises" opening credits project, with contributions from Gün????? Cihangir. Stan's (Spider) Man

Feeling unsure about Andrew Garfield hitting the scene as Peter Parker in "The Amazing Spider-Man" this summer? You're probably not alone, but here's someone who doesn't share your company: Stan Lee. The Marvel icon spoke with Access Hollywood and said that while he's "Tobey Maguire's biggest fan," he's super psyched for the world to see what Garfield has up his sleeve. "Garfield brings his own charisma to this role, and he's as good as Tobey was," says Lee. "I think people are going to love him."

"Goon" Out?

If it feels like it's been a while since we last heard word on "The Goon," that's because it has been. Little to no movement has been made on the adaptation of Eric Powell's comic book series, despite the involvement of director David Fincher and voice actor Paul Giamatti. In fact, Giamatti told IFC (via Spinoff Online) recently that he knows squat about what's going on with the project, guessing that "they just ran out of money." But Powell himself cleared the air on his own blog: "Zip up your fly, Internet. 'The Goon' is in the exact same same position it's been in for the last couple of years. Prepping the design and script while searching for funding." His post features updated comments from Giamatti and Fincher as well, so it would appear that there's really nothing to see here, folks. But hey, it's an excuse to watch that awesome "Goon" test footage again!
