Alex Murrel always had a tight-knit group of gal pals during her Laguna Beach High School days -- fast-forward to more than a decade later, and the former MTV star has those very same ladies by her side as she gears up for an exciting milestone.

"Soon to be party of 6 #BabyJ @taylorcolephoto @anaschissler @morgansouders @brittdelano," the glowing parent-to-be -- who is expecting a boy with husband Kyle Mark Johnson -- captioned the cute video from her recent SoCal-based baby shower. Yep, that's Taylor Cole and Morgan Souders feting the guest of honor!

My how these ladies have grown since senior year -- Cabo, prom, graduation, all of it.

But back to the present: Alex also added another photograph from her bash and described the event as "incredible."

"So grateful and thankful to have so many amazing people to give our new family so much love! Also special thank you to @studiolafleur and @balloonzilla for making the day EXTRA special with all the beautiful decor," she added.
