The 13 Best 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Relationships, Ranked
I know what you're thinking. You took one look at that headline, and shouted at your computer — something along the lines of, "Dude, 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' isn't even out yet. How can you possibly rank the character relationships already?"
Well, okay, that's fair! The following is based on absolutely nothing other than the most recent "Force Awakens" trailer, which itself is such a powerful force (I swear that's unintentional), and worthy of endless viewings and musings, at least until the genuine article hits in December.
So, consider this a ridiculous shot in the dark, organizing some early thoughts on some of these character dynamics while we wait for "The Force Awakens" to land in a couple of months. We'll see how the final rankings shake out soon enough.
Rey + The Person She's Crying About
THIS IS NOT OKAY.
Poe + BB-8
Wow, Poe and his co-pilot are this low on the rankings? Yeah, this movie is going to be phenomenal.
Captain Phasma + The First Order
Evil Brienne of Tarth with an equally evil army does not suck.
Kylo Ren + Poe
Looks like bad news for Poe, but great news for people looking for angsty Oscar Isaac/Adam Driver action.
Maybe Luke + R2-D2
If that's Luke's hand, then I'm very happy about this. If that's NOT Luke's hand? Then I don't like that dude groping my favorite astromech droid.
Finn + Poe
Foe = Bros.
Finn + Rey
All aboard the Good Ship Frey.
Kylo + The Knights of Ren
These guys are also known as "the action figures I'm about to buy."
Kylo Ren + Darth Vader
I like the idea of Kylo talking to Vader's severed head throughout the movie. "Alas, poor Anakin. I knew him well. Actually, I didn't KNOW HIM know him, but I hear he was great."
Rey + BB-8
They're the two best friends that anyone could have.
Finn + Kylo Ren
Bank on this fight being one of the most intense yet sloppy lightsaber duels in the entire series. Get hyped.
Han + Chewie
There's no place like home.
Han + Leia
One hug to rule them all.
