Poison's Bret Michaels Has Baby Girl
Metallica's James Hetfield isn't the only hard rocker celebrating the recent birth of a child, as Poison's Bret Michaels and actress Kristi Lynn Gibson have announced the birth of a baby girl, named Raine Elizabeth Michaels.
According to Michael's representatives, Raine was born on Saturday, May 20 at 8:47 a.m. in a Los Angeles area hospital and weighed in at 6 lbs., 13 oz. Raine is Michaels and Gibson's first child.
Just like her father, she arrived in dramatic form," Michaels wrote in a statement. "I had just arrived home from a 15-hour video shoot for 'Power To The People' when Kristi's contractions started. Her birth was amazing. Being in the room when Raine was born was as close as I'll get to heaven without dying. She has beautiful blue eyes, big fat pouty lips, and lots of big hair. A chip off the old block.
Michaels and his Poison bandmates will issue their "Power To The People" album, formerly known as "Live + 5," on June 13. The LP includes
tracks recorded on Poison's tour last summer, as well as five new studio cuts: "Power To The People," "Bring Me Down," "The Last Song," "Strange," and "I Hate Every Bone In Your Body (But Mine)," the latter of which features guitarist C.C. DeVille on vocals.
On June 13, Poison also plans to kick off an extensive "Power To The People" tour with Cinderella, Slaughter, and Dokken in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
