Limp Bizkit Cancels Show After Durst Injures Ankle, Holds On To Number One On Chart

Wednesday brought good news and bad news for Limp Bizkit.

First, the unpleasantness... the band was forced to cancel Wednesday night's concert in Orlando after frontman Fred Durst injured his ankle at a show Tuesday night. At the band's homecoming show in Jacksonville, Florida on Tuesday, Durst leapt from the soundboard during his performance of "Stuck," and severely sprained his ankle.

The singer was able to finish the set, but Wednesday's show has been canceled, and Friday's show in Atlanta may also be in jeopardy.

Wednesday also brought more soothing news for the band, as Durst and company one again found their new album "Significant Other" on the top of the heap when sales figures were released by SoundScan. The group's sophomore effort sold an additional 334,000 copies and will hold the top spot on next week's "Billboard" album chart.

The Backstreet Boys and Ricky Martin are nipping at the band's heels, however, sitting at numbers two and three respectively.

The Boys are quickly closing in on sales of 3.5 million for their "Millennium," while Martin's self-titled album is approaching sales of 3 million.

Little will change between this week's chart and next week's, with the Wu-Tang Clan's Gza posting the only top ten debut with his "Beneath the Surface" at number nine.

Alice In Chains score the only other top 20 debut with the collection "Nothing Safe," which arrives on the chart at number 20.

Other notable debuts include professional goof ball Weird Al Yankovic at 35, No Limit rapper Mercedes at 72, country troubadour Lyle Lovett at 94, New York groovers Luscious Jackson at 102, masked metallers Slipknot at 112, and '70s pomp rockers Styx at 175.

However, besting them all are Warrant, Winger, Poison, and the other glam metal faves featured on Razor & Tie Records' "Monster Ballads" collection. The compilation, which also carries cuts from the Scorpions, Whitesnake, Cinderella, Extreme, and more, debuts at

number 29 on next week's chart.
