Celebrating underground, indie and straight-up hot music, college students around the country rocked the vote to determine who was best at the 2013 mtvU Woodie Awards. The show returned to South by Southwest in Austin, Texas, on Thursday (March 13) with a trifecta of hosts, as sister duo Tegan & Sara joined forces with Machine Gun Kelly to keep the party going.

The mtvU Woodies always take viewers on a journey across genres, as A$AP Rocky duked it out with the likes of Fun., MGK and Kendrick Lamar for the Woodie of the Year, and Kanye West battled Swedish House Mafia for the Tag Team Woodie. The winners are below, but you'll miss amazing performances by Twenty One Pilots, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Haim if you don't tune in to our half-hour mtvU Woodie Awards special Sunday at 8 p.m. on MTV and mtvU.
