By Sowmya Krishnamurthy

TLC's "CrazySexyCool" biopic premiered Monday night (October 22)  on VH1. The true life story about the infamous girl group was a tell-all about the fame, heartbreak and scandal lived by T-Boz, Chilli and the late Left Eye. Twitter buzzed with activity as the film and its stars were trending topics throughout the airing.

One of the biggest surprises was the overwhelming support for rapper Lil Mama who plays Left Eye. Many were skeptical that Lil Mama could handle such a challenging role and others were initially critical of the casting choice.

Lil Mama stunned everyone by her amazing job. Even comedian Kevin Hart gave her props, tweeting, "All jokes aside @lilmama killed that role...congrats!!! I loved the movie."

Actor Michael Epps also applauded the young actress. "S|O TO @LilMama SHE STRAIGHT BODIED (In My Brooklyn Voice) THAT TLC MOVIE !!! #Eppsie #TLC."

Just as everyone came out to support Lil Mama, there was outright outrage against Perri "Pebbles" Reid, TLC's former manager who the film says stole money from the group. "Overall dope story. Hella shady what this character pebbles did," said radio personality Yaya Martinez.

Blogger Love B Scott added, "Can somebody please help Pebbles get up from underneath the bus?" after the onslaught.

Rolling Out shares some of the many memes people created, depicting Pebbles' alleged cutthroat ways. One has her telling the girls they could order anything from McDonald's after selling millions of records while another portrays her as a fisherman dangling a dollar in front of the group.

According to Deadline, the show garnered 4.5 million viewers and was the most tweeted about program all night.
