Madonna Doles Out Mothering Tips

Jan. 6 [10:00 EST] -- Madonna says that her daughter Lourdes will spend more time with the Bible than her television. The "Evita" star spoke out (again) in an interview with "She" magazine, where she dispensed her take on motherhood, and her disdain for lazy parents.

To be plopped in front of a TV instead of being read to, talked to or encouraged to interact with other human beings is a huge mistake and that's what happens to a lot of children," the "Like A Virgin" singer reportedly told the magazine.

Instead, Madonna plans to expose her daughter to the Bible and Christianity.

She'll certainly know about Catholicism," Madonna reportedly said. "I want my daughter to read the Bible, but I will explain to her that these are stories that people made up to teach people... it's not the rule.

Despite this surprisingly traditional stand, Madonna noted that she has no plans to change her single parent status any time soon by marrying Lourdes' father, Carlos Leon.

People are extremely judgmental of me and my choice to have a child and not be married, as if I were the first person to do it," Madonna is quoted as saying. "For some reason I'm being held up as some anti-family symbol. I know lots of married people who have terribly unhealthy relationships... marriage isn't a guarantee of anything.
