Doug Sahm's Death Reportedly Due To Heart Disease
Body of Texas Tornados/Sir Douglas Quintet leader sent to his native Texas for burial.
The death of veteran Tex-Mex guitarist/songwriter Doug Sahm on Nov. 18 was caused by heart disease, Reuters reported. His body was sent to his native Texas for burial following an autopsy, according to the wire service. Sahm, who led the Texas Tornados and the Sir Douglas Quintet, was 58. Sahm also had recorded with Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead.
