Last year at the MTV Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift's squad ruled the carpet. But this year, a plethora of squads took over the white carpet and the stage at New York's Madison Square Garden, and we're all the better for it.

Whether they consist of bands, Olympians, musicians, or a combination, these are the squads to join before next year's VMAs.
