Addicted to Noise will cease its five-year run as a monthly magazine this summer. On Monday, July 3, we'll run the farewell issue of Addicted to Noise, the site launched in December 1994. Since its inception as the first music magazine on the Web, ATN has featured hundreds of artist interviews and album reviews and has been a destination for impassioned music lovers everywhere. (Click here to read Gil Kaufman's remembrance of the site's early days in the farewell issue.)

After July, Addicted to Noise will appear as a regular feature of sonicnet.com, continuing to offer columns by Dave Marsh and Greil Marcus and introducing new columns from sonicnet.com Country Editor Chet Flippo, jazz critic Gary Giddins and author and music critic Simon Reynolds. You, the reader, also will be encouraged to express your opinions and offer feedback on bulletin boards and in chat rooms.

Also in the July issue of ATN: our Primal Scream interview. Staff Writer Brian Hiatt caught up with the band in New York to shoot some pool, drink a few beers and talk about their latest album, XTRMNTR.
