Kanye West’s 'Stronger' Named Greatest Workout Song Of All Time

We’ll let you finish, Olivia Newton-John, but Kanye West has the greatest workout song of all time. At least that’s what Gold’s Gym found in their competition results.
The gym chain polled a number of celebrities for nominations and people voted on the options. Per the Gold’s Gym press release: “After an intense nationwide vote, his popular track, nominated by Super Bowl XLII champion Michael Strahan, survived a star-studded bracket of 64 iPod all-stars to be named the greatest workout song of all time.”
West’s Daft Punk sampled hit shared a competition block with Eminem's “Lose Yourself,” Black Eyed Peas’ “Boom Boom Pow” and Guns N Roses’ “Welcome to The Jungle.” “Stronger” apparently won by a landslide.
The track, off Kanye’s Graduation , has supercharged lyrics that could pump anyone up, as Daft Punk robotically exclaims, “Work it, make it, do it, makes us, harder, better, faster, stronger.” West chimes in with “N-N-Now that that don’t kill me, can only make me stronger.”
The reward for the contest is a $5,000 donation on behalf of Gold’s Gym to Strahan’s charity of choice. The charity is the Health & Humanitarian Aid Foundation, “a non-profit organization dedicated to providing medical and humanitarian aid to those whose lives have been affected by famine, war, poverty or natural disaster.”
“I was thrilled to hear that ‘Stronger' won the March Music Madness Bracket Challenge,” Strahan explained in the press release. “The song brings back great memories of Super Bowl XLII (The New York Giants came out to ‘Stronger' before beating the New England Patriots 17-14) and is still on my iPod everyday in the gym. What's even more special is that I get to share this win with my friend Sammy Arthur, with the proceeds going to his charity, The Health & Humanitarian Aid Foundation.”
Kanye West must be thrilled by this accolade. However, he hasn’t made any formal statement as of yet.
Other celeb choices included Technotronic’s “Pump Up the Jam” nominated by Will Ferrell, as well as Outkast's “B.O.B.” nominated by professional volleyball player Gabrielle Reece.
