Emma Roberts Talks 'Hunger Games' Role, Love For 'Pretty Little Liars'

Yes, "The Hunger Games" movie has already been cast. But since we knew Emma Roberts was one of the 30(!) or so actresses up for the role, we had to ask her about it during our chat at the press day for "Scream 4." Her answer led us into some fun girl talk about her love for YA books and "Pretty Little Liars."

"I was definitely interested in it, but it was just one of those things that didn't end up happening," Emma said of being in contention to play Katniss. "But I'm really excited to see the movie. I read all the books a couple weeks ago and I've got all my friends hooked, so it's totally cool and I can't wait to see it."

Turning the conversation toward other anticipated YA properties headed for the big screen, we brought up "If I Stay," and the fact that we put her in our dream cast.

"Oh, I've read that book. I love that book—it's so good!" Emma gushed. "I'm totally into all these young adult books because they're all coming out now. I guess I am a young adult, but they're in that teen section, and I'm totally at Barnes and Noble buying all those books."

Emma went on to reveal that she, like her friends here at Hollywood Crush, is obsessed with the YA genre.

"They're really good. I'm obsessed with the 'Pretty Little Liars' series, or I was, and the TV show I'm totally addicted to."

Good to know! So who does Emma think the mysterious A is?

"I have no idea," she said. "I've met those girls and I'm like, 'Tell me who A is,' and I tried to trade information. I'm like, 'I'll tell you who the killer in "Scream 4" is if you tell me who's A,' and they're like, 'No." And I said, 'Well I wasn't going to tell you anyway,'" she told us with a laugh.
