'Jersey Shore' Star JWoww Previews Her Filthy Couture Clothing Line

'I don't want to sell to the masses,' JWoww says of her sexy dresses and beachwear.

"Jersey Shore" star [article id="1640563"]Jenni "JWoww" Farley[/article] is out to prove that there's more to her than hitting the gym, the tanning salon and her local Laundromat. While the Situation is launching a rap career and Pauly D's DJ skills are getting nationally recognized, JWoww is taking cues from other MTV reality stars like Whitney Port and Lauren Conrad and launching her own fashion line, Filthy Couture. She even got a head start by wearing her own baby-pink creation on the [article id="1640563"]MTV Movie Awards[/article] red carpet earlier this month.

"[The name] Filthy Couture came from people of the 'Jersey Shore,' " she told MTV News about her line of bedazzled party dresses and lingerie-inspired beachwear. "The 'Jersey Shore' is a bunch of fist-pumpers and guidos and guidettes, and we all listen to the same type of music, which is house music, and everyone on the show says 'filthy beats' and that's where I kind of came up with it."

JWoww knew she had to try her hand at being the Tri-State area's own Ed Hardy after fans would come up to her and ask where she acquired the clothes she wore in the first season of the hit MTV series. "On the 'Jersey Shore,' I was very into making my own style, taking other people's brand names and clothes and kind of ripping them up or just bleaching them, dying them, shredding them, adding fabric, taking away fabric and people loved it," she explained. "I just realized I might have something here and [decided] to start a line."

JWoww says her flashy designs are more than just sexy. "I wanted to make dresses that are sexy and casual dresses that can be sexy and a little bit edgy. They are more affordable, but there is definitely still detail," she explained about her party looks. "One type of bathing suit that I have is a more edgy look with the chains. If you don't like the chain, I have more of the feminine ones with the lace and the flowers."

So, who is the Filthy Couture client? "I don't want to sell to the masses. I want to sell to just people that like my stuff," she said. "I don't want it to appeal to everyone; I want it to appeal to specific people."
