Angie Stone To Mount Club Tour In April
R&B singer Angie Stone will kick off a short club tour in Los Angeles in April to run through the end of the month, according to an Arista Records spokesperson.
Stone's 1999 debut, Black Diamond, includes her hit "No More Rain (In This Cloud)," which features a sample of Gladys Knight and the Pips' 1973 song "Neither One of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye)." The album also includes "Everyday" (RealAudio excerpt), which she co-wrote with soul singer D'Angelo, and "Bone 2 Pic (Wit U)," a collaboration with Ali Shaheed Muhammed, a former member of hip-hop act A Tribe Called Quest.
The Columbia, S.C.-born singer is on tour in Europe. She will return to the United States this week, the spokesperson said. Stone said earlier this month that she also will appear in an upcoming episode of the UPN-TV show "Moesha," which stars R&B singer Brandy.
