British Invasion bandleader and keyboardist Manfred Mann is suing trip-hop stars Massive
Attack for copyright infringement, according to Billboard. The suit, filed in
London, claims Massive Attack used a snippet of Mann's 1971 song "Tribute" in the song
"Black Milk" on their 1998 album, Mezzanine. The suit seeks damages of up to
£100,000 ($168,000) from Massive Attack's Robert Del Naja, Grant
Marshall and Andrew Vowles, the trade paper reported.
