Daryl Dixon Gets Animated By 13-Year-Old 'Walking Dead' Fan

Daryl Dixon might be one of the most popular characters on "The Walking Dead," but he's also one of the only main characters who has never appeared in the comic books that the television series is based on.

But what Daryl lacks in paneled page presence, he more than makes up for with his very own cartoon.

Nick Mastrangelo of Maverick Animation is a 13-year-old aspiring animator who is also a big fan of "Walking Dead." I won't make judgments about whether or not a show like AMC's zombie drama is appropriate for someone of that age, particularly when the results are as bloody and creative as Mastrangelo's epic Daryl Dixon animated short.

Watch it below, but be warned: big, bloody zombie and kung fu violence lurks ahead. Not for the faint of heart, and very much not safe for work.

Here's Mastrangelo's summary of his project:

I’m in middle school, and I want to become an Animation filmmaker. I love sci fi films! I hope all of you enjoy my animation music video inspired by Norman Reedus’ character “Daryl Dixon” of The Walking Dead tv show on AMC. I hope you like the music too!

Big thanks to iGeektrooper for putting this on our radar!
